As I said in my last post - it’s Jolabokaflod and the time for giving and getting books! It’s time for hot chocolate and reading the new books while wearing cozy new or at least clean pajamas! 🤣 Time for cuddling in a comfy place and letting the world and its cares fall away…
Here's some hot chocolate thoughts:
You're on you own about the pajamas though … just sayin'. 😁
Anyhoo, here’s the gift book I’ve been creating for you! It's titled “Portraits of Loved Books". My wife, Judy, and I have been reading and loving books all year and this handmade artist book contains our thoughts and feelings about certain books. We collaborated on the first person sentence related to the books we both loved. I hand wrote and illustrated “Portraits of Loved Books” using a dip pen, various colored inks and color pencils on handmade paper, gifted to me by my dear friend Laurel Whitehurst, folded into an accordion style book.
So you get an idea of what your gift ebook is like, here are a few photos of the original artist book and the tools I used to make it. (And yes, coffee and conversation is definitely part of this books creation!)
Here below, when you click the green button that says “download”, is the ebook version of “Portraits of Loved Books" that you can download for free as a Jolabokaflod gift book. Hope you’ll enjoy it! Thank you so much for subscribing and reading my work all year long. Happy holidays and happy new year!
I loved the book and I looooooooved the idea. I am going to steal it straight away. I wrote a cookbook that I want to give away to my readers. But it is sitting on a shelf for the lack of images of the dishes. I am now going to draw them. But I will take me a year to do that, so my readers will have to wait for it till next Christmas. :)
Oh delicious!
