Cats too of course

Recent mornings during breakfast I've been thinking about books and comforts. It's Jolabokaflod as you know from my posts lately so books are on my mind.

Here's a look at many different morning drawing sessions - one morning per photo below.

I didn't realize it until I put those photos in a row that our cat sits on my lap in similar positions most mornings. How fun is that? Here's the finished artwork…

And here it is on a latte mug.

It joins the rest of my Whimsical Blue Ink series on my Zazzle shop. Sixteen different blue ink designs now on soup mugs, coffee/tea mugs, coasters and throw pillows all of which you can see here.

Speaking of comforts. One friend hand crocheted a blanket for us! At the moment it's on the back of our couch so we can admire it. It'll be so cozy to read under!

And here's this week's local independent bookstore haul. It is incredibly hard to leave these books alone until Jolabokaflod!

Appropriately during our visit to the bookstore I wore my hat with the “Book Slut” pin on it.

As you can see our cat approves of the new crocheted blanket!

Another friend gave us a reading blanket too! This one has cats on it and fun phrases about reading. Our cat approves of this blanket also and the sack it came in.

We've gotten some hard to wait till Jolabokaflod to open them chocolates…

… so yes we're ready for Jolabokaflod now!!!
