My wife and I went to the Portland Japanese Garden and we spent a delightful day. Besides walking and noticing things I spent time drawing in my sketchbook some of the things I saw and noticed. For example some of the bonsai trees are over 300 years old. Just imagine multiple generations of humans tenderly caring for a single tree! The very thought of that makes my soul happy - so I spent quite a lot of time drawing the various bonsai which have each been cared for by different families for generations! Wow! All of that caring!!!
Here's a photo my wife took of me drawing a few of the bonsai.
The majority of my newsletters are available to both free subscribers as well as paid ones. I enjoy having everyone here and the occasional paid-only newsletter (that isn't an ebook) is my way of thanking people who support my work financially. Your support helps me spend more time and resources to do my work... So to say thank you again there are more garden sketchbook pages, another photo of me drawing and other details below this paywall.
