This week we are happily caring for two of our extended family dogs bringing our temporary in-house count to 2 dachshunds 1 chihuahua/Jack Russell mix and 1 cat. So this edition of my A.M. Sketching newsletter is currently supported by the chihuahua/Jack Russell and will be this entire week! This canine support system comes complete with a green blanket (some arrangements required).
It's a good thing that my morning sketchbook sessions are portable; coffee, a TWSBI fountain pen, a water brush and a portable palette containing some gouache paints. Oh, and the ever present supply (this week only, get ‘em while they last) of dog treats.
So against the beautiful black, white and grey fur bordered in a handsome green blanket I give you the following sequence of pages from my “D" sketchbook which I'm seriaizing for my paid subscribers. P.S. Enormous thanks to those of you who, through your monthly and yearly subscriptions, are providing financial support for the work I do. It means a lot to me. It helps buy my art supplies. If you’re not already a paid subscriber and you’re enjoying what I share on A.M. Sketching, I hope you’ll consider it. But we live in challenging times, and I understand that not everyone can or wants to buy a paid subscription. I’m happy to have you here either way!
Okay, one more dog treat and we'll get to the pages…
This sequence of sketchbook pages, like all of my work, were created by hand…
