As I wrote in my last newsletter this week we've been happily taking care of extended family dogs. Fortunately every canine supports my sketchbook habits and I'm grateful! Here's one morning's sketchbook adventures being very professionally supported by a chihuahua Jack Russell mix…
… and here's the one I shared from my last post - just look at that cute fuzzy head!!
It was a good thing this week to have small scale portable art supplies and adjustable projects. For example here's a video of a fine art project in progress (I'm using my Sailor Fude fountain pen) for upcoming art exhibits. I designed this project so I could work towards my exhibits and yet if a dog needed something all I have to do is put the cap on my pen.
Here's a look again at the simple supplies I've been using this week: fountain pens (my extra fine TWSBI fountain pen is pictured), a water brush and a pallette of gouache paints, coffee and dog treats.
Of course our own dog, and regular professional art support, got into the action too. Here's one morning…
… and here's another.
While we have dogs on our minds here's a children's book I wrote and illustrated titled “The Professional Dog". It's available as a free ebook here 👇https://www.storyberries.com/bedtime-stories-the-professional-dog-abc-alphabet-books-for-kids/
Printed versions of The Professional Dog are available here https://www.blurb.com/b/10926040-the-professional-dog
This week our garden garlic patch rated a 4 star Yip review for sunny places to sit from this Professional Yard and Garden Reviewer!
I especially enjoyed Doggerel, a collection of dog poems, this week -specifically the poem The Dog Parade by Arthur Guiterman.
I hope your weekend is rebarkable! Bark! Bark!
Dog days
The Professional Dog is adorable! I love these professional dog profile pictures. Your portable art setup has inspired me to experiment with something I can take with me so I can sketch and collage in my haiku notebook when I sit in the car and wait for kids to get out of school.
Excellent! Remind me to give you a shout next time we need someone to watch our Jackihauhau, Zeke. Cheers!
