The painting I did this week is titled “Peanut Boater”. It was made with gouache.
Here below is the sketchbook page where I recorded the thought I had for what became the painting “Peanut Boater”.
And another breakfast sketchbook page but this one has outer space creatures that look like jelly blobs - only in green.
Another days sketchbook page drawing was done using a fountain pen that has non-permanent ink in it and a water brush with plain water used to smear the ink so there are tones of grey.
Here's another sketchbook page but this drawing was done with waterproof ink and gouache.
Here is another page created with the non-permanent ink and the water brush and plain water to smear the ink into tones.
This Sufi saying that I've had thumbtacked to my art studio wall for ages caught my eye again. I have a sketchbook related to this that I'll share in an upcoming newsletter. I think about this saying often.
I hope your weekend is pleasant and full of things that make you glad you're alive.
Thanks for being here!
Staying close to my pups. And also, peanut butter.
Ooh, I look forward to the peanut headgear!!
