Let me tell you the story as it was told to me of a famous teacher who visited a town.
One day, when it was known that a famous teacher was to visit, the town's people were so excited that they gathered along the town's main street early before the teacher was due to arrive. They stationed some lookouts to watch for the teachers arrival on the edge of the crowd and impatiently they waited. They talked eagerly of the great lecture they were expecting to hear. They talked of how wise everyone said this teacher was and how surely his teachings would make everyone in the town smarter and more prosperous. They were certain the teacher would have a large group of disciples and assistants with him who would also help teach them. They discussed how grandly such a famous teacher and his assistants would dress and how fancy their transportation must be - probably the teacher's coming would be like a great carnival or parade! The crowd shivered with excited anticipation.
