This allegory is vicious in its niceness. I love, love, love it!! I would say its on par with Voltaire in showing just how ridiculous some ways of thinking actually are.

After visiting Zambia for a wedding, I fell in love with hippos and have a whole collection. But that ostrich with her head in the coffee is me! 🥰

Elephants forget Mother Nature is boss. Lessons learned on the turn of a page. Like the coffee cups. A think drink to remind us of possibilities to communicate.

Heartbreaking. (Grin) Poor elephants! They’d never behave like that! So I replaced every ‘elephant’ with ‘man’ and yep! Worked much better. I adore the art. And I’m not sure that George Bernard Shaw had that exactly right, but I can’t think what word should replace ‘cynisism’. ‘Honesty’ or ‘integrity’ perhaps…. Food for thought.

Thanks for another very cool hand-made post. Sending heaps of hugs and best wishes from my chilly part of the world. Stay cool over there.

Well of course I love your dream/story! As Edith Ann would say, 'And that's the truth.' But I also really love your beautiful giraffe drawing!!!

Hit send too soon. The Shaw quote is perfect-I’ve been called a cynic many times in my adult life. And took it as a badge of honor.

Sue! Awesome post - you've said so much of importance here. Absolutely smashing!

(As a tall-ie, I love my fellow giraffes very much, but there is absolutely a place for everyone, and I love them all!)

I'm so behind on my reading! Having a lovely Friday afternoon catching up. xxx
