Wonderful, Sue! The toe warmer is FABULOUS, and hurrah for Darn Tough socks - my husband swears by them. Their lifetime guarantee is astonishing - he's had two pairs wear out (it took years!) and the kind folk at Darn Tough replaced them. Hope you're making excellent healing progress - I'm rather behind on my reading so I expect when I hit 'Next' in a second I'll be reading the next instalment of your recovery.

Oh boy, I can relate, I was in an orthopedic boot 5 years ago. Achilles heel injury, thankfully it didn't require surgery. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ Good luck โ˜˜๏ธ as you make progress towards your goals.

Glad that your toes are not purple. Don't slack on your PT. Better for some swelling and pain now than for the rest of your time on this protein covered rock. Peace. ..

Thank you for this uplifting post, Sue! The toe warmer was such a thoughtful gesture. When my mother was alive, she knitted various warming things for hospital patients. I love the Nelly Furtdado quote! I also love how your spouse and your community have rallied around you for support. ๐Ÿฅฐ

As you love all things rabbit, while recuperating, you might be interested in learning about the Mayan rabbit scribe. I learned about it while visiting Tikal in Guatemala. Typically painted or etched on chocolate vessels, the rabbit scribe was the entity who wrote down the hstory of the tribe and was highly esteemed.
