Thank you! Yes, some art therapists do use something like this technique! Same with therapeutic journal/poetry/story writing. The concept is to explore the arts as ways of dealing with emotions or even expanding ones range of emotions. (We can get into habitual emotional grooves too) It's a way of utilizing the arts as a connection point between ourselves and the world rather than as solely a commercial enterprise.
LOL!!!! You made my day!!! I included a link for the cup within my newsletter... just in case I'm not the only one who wants one 😁😘💚💚💚💚 And thank you for your *fun* comment!! ☕💚
Another beautiful post - thank you, Sue! Just the cozy comforts I needed on what has been a less than ideal day today. 😘
I can't believe in this post full of such gems all worthy of individual comment the thing that I have to mention specifically here in mine is the bookmark with rounded corners. YES! I always trim Christmas and birthday cards I've received to use as gift tags or for little notes, and I use them for bookmarks, too - I choose/make a new one for every book I read. For both uses - gift tags AND bookmarks - I always use a corner punch to round the corners. It makes them look absolutely amazing, and of course the corners don't get dog-eared - which is essential for a bookmark! 🙌
Thank you!!! Thanks especially for understanding about rounded corners!!! If you were here I'd hug your neck!!!!! I appreciate your comment to the moon and back!!!! Thank you!!!! 💚💚💚💚
You're welcome! Your approach appeals to me very much. For me, because my training and writing practice are in revising writer-based drafts to reader-based final poems/stories/novels, I think I would need a change in the medium of creative expression.
Your comfort process is intriguing. I also like the cat/book cup.
Thank you so much!!!! 💚💚💚
I love the "comfort method" you've laid out! Is this what art therapists do to help their clients?

So enjoyed a look into your art process…on cardboard boxes no less! Really fantastic, Sue. Thanks
I'm glad you liked seeing it all!! BTW - I painted a solid wooden cube to look like a cardboard box. 🤣 And I'm delighted that you liked it!! 💚

It's good to hear that you like my approach. Thanks for that!! And I hear you - over time I've had to do a change or two myself ...
You're welcome!
So good! That cat buying a book would be a great bookmark too!
