Another stunning post, Sue. I love the stories behind the stories, the puns behind the art, the real life, the humanity, the sheer CLANCY of it all. Thank you. 😘

Although I'm located a whopping 4,948 miles from Portland please know that I'll be at Caplan Arts in spirit!

I love what you're doing Sue and have attempted to "restack" this post. Still learning my way around that process :-). The one quote spoke to me in a loud voice... "Artists are people driven by the tension between the desire to communicate and the desire to hide. Donald Winnicott ART@LIFE". Thank you!

Looks to me like your restack was successful!! Thank you so much for sharing my work and for your comment!! I find that when I manage well that tension between communication and hiding things are more sustainable. But lawsy getting and keeping that tension in good form can be challenging!! Thank you again!!

I love rabbits and Emily Dickinson. (I actually had a calligrapher write that poem, which I framed and hung in my office for the 30 years I practiced as a psychiatrist!) Do you know the book, "My Father's Dragon"? It was a favorite of mine way back in 2nd grade (1959!) I think of that wonderful dragon when you speak of yourself. <3

I'm looking for "My Father's Dragon" ... it's the one by Ruth Stiles Gannett - is that correct?

Thank you!! I've requested our public library copy... currently there's other readers in line for it before me. My turn will come in some weeks! I'll keep you posted.... 💚💚💚

How wonderful that people are still reading this book, many decades later! (I don't know how to make hearts or emojis on my comments. Any VERY simple how-to suggestions?)

Yes!! It's wonderful that so many people read old books!! I'm reading a book written in 1937 titled "The Importance Of Living" by Lin Yutang. Originally I'd gotten the public library's much in demand copy. Then I bought my own because I wanted to take my time with this over 400 page book!

As far as hearts or emojis go...it depends on your phone system but when you're looking at your phones keyboard to type words if you see a smiley face with 2 arrows and click on that the keyboard transforms to a bunch of different emojis. There is a search bar where you can request if you want a particular color heart... 💚💚 I hope that helps!
