Yes, I like coffee. Besides books, art supplies, animals and plants coffee shops, coffee pots and interesting cups get my attention and remind me of all the good there is in this world. So one recent morning I drew Saint Cuppa-Jo appearing in a coffee ring.
Here's a closer look.
Another morning, I had both feline and canine help with my sketchbook drawing session. My wife
documented the assistance. Yes, we gave them both extra treats as part of their hazardous-duty pay.In the above photo I was drawing the ink lines on top of the gouache paints I had done earlier. Here's a closer look.
Here's another sketchbook page from another morning.
During yet another morning, I played with the blue ink from Birmingham Pen Co. I like this ink.
In my opinion indulgence isn't just for the mornings… here's my “indulgence pasta sauce” recipe…
…we have it in mugs so we can eat pasta and read our fiction books or watch a movie and thereby indulge in rest and comforts. We gift our recipe to you if you similarly feel in need of indulgence.
Speaking of mugs - did you see this mug I made because many of you requested it? Hope so but just in case:
Welcome to all new subscribers both free and paid!!! I appreciate each one of you!! I just draw stuff and share it here on Friday like what you see in this newsletter. I also create ebooks of things I've written and illustrated - many are children's books - and here is an index of my downloadable ebooks.
Why do I do this work? Perhaps this card I have thumbtacked to my studio wall explains…
All of my work is my effort to keep hope alive, to keep my own spirits up and also, hopefully, the spirits of my friends.
So, hello friends! Thank you again for being here! I hope your weekend is comfortable and contains your preferred indulgences.
OMG that photo of you drawing with the kitty and pupper in your lap!😻
I'm not a coffee person but I love how it smells ....
I ordered the mug...
I really like the blue ink tree.
Thanks for what you do. It matters.
