Here's a sketchbook page in which I thought about the pleasure of having hobbies, things done just for fun, and how essential they are to good mental health and our perceptions of the world.

Especially during times of stress having a hobby or two (or seven) can be a way to feed the good wolf rather than allowing oneself to sit there and stew…

Here's a story I illustrated in Dr. Bob's Emotional Repair Program First Aid Kit about feeding good wolves.

As you know I have a fountain pen drawing/writing hobby, a book reading hobby, a cooking hobby… and now my new hobby is sharing my sketchbooks with you! I’m sharing often from one or both of my sketchbooks; my poem/story sketchbook and from my art sketchbook. Here's a recent post in which I share a long sequence of pages from my art sketchbook. I’m thinking I’ll publish entire sketchbooks a section at a time this way…🤔 … for my paid subscribers as a kind of “book of the month club" but in my style.
