Aww Sue! This whole thing is a treat I needed. 🥰

P.S. That paraphrased quote is so beautiful and applies to so much else, including fashion.

Thank you. LOVE your art….especially the hippo!

I had a wee problem with today’s piece, though: grapes ruin the taste of coffee for me 🤭.

I'm glad you like my art! Thank you! And yes, sometimes grapes do affect the taste... but if I have apple slices or bites of croissant between... the coffee goes down easy anyway!

Is there a way that I could contact you off Substack? I have some ideas that I'd love to share.

Expand full comment

How about starting on a direct message here on Substack?

Expand full comment

How do I do that?

Expand full comment

I think that I already figured out how. It will only let me message another Sue Clancy with no picture...Do you have another account or is that a fake one?

Expand full comment

That one is likely fake. My only account has the green dragon drawing.

If you visit my profile I think you'll see a "message" option

Expand full comment

I've just sent you a direct message. When you're in the Substack app viewing Notes you'll see a speech bubble... that's the Direct Message area. Does this help?

Thank you for blocking trolls, (which is not the same as blocking opposing ideas), more people should block them. Maybe they (the trolls) would learn the right way to share their opposing ideas.

Griff is a bright spot in my day! Whoever said hippos can't dance? You go, Griff! This thought really hit home with me today: "Peace and calm aren't once and done events. Like any skills peace and calm need to be practiced, daily, for mental health sake, for resiliency sake, for the sake of getting through hard times."

Ah that 3x5 card quote will go on my bulletin board at my studio. Thank you for that.

I spent a lot of my life focused on civil rights (usually but not exclusively LGBTQIA+) and while it will always be a part of my work, it's not all that my art is about. this post was clarifying.
