Thank you so much for taking me along with you on this trip by sharing this beautiful post, Sue - how wonderful! Well, the food poisoning sounds very much less than wonderful, but I hope you're feeling much better now.

And the library? AWESOME! 😊

Loved your sketchbook page, especially the words you wrote down. I may copy it into my own journal to ponder over it, too.

Oh. I also was going to ask if the dragon serves as a warning of dire consequences if anything but a bus is parked there.

Loooove these quotes from Catlett and White! Copying them into my notebook to ponder...

Expand full comment

The quotes really are keepers!! Besides photos I wrote them down too. Catlett really spoke to me... "do it for my people"... yes!! That's my motive too, my people are who I create artwork for! When I paint I often paint "for" a person I know even if I never tell the real-life person that I did so. Art-making is love-making. 💚

Sue, I was very impressed with your comment :

" It's not what happens in life that matters the most : it is how we preceive things, our attitudes towards them, and the way we choose to respond that matters the most to our own well being " !

I have this on my bathroom mirror. You will find out why when Judy returns my call.
