Our family celebrates Jolabokaflod known when it's at home as the "Holiday Book Flood". In a nutshell it's all about being comfortable and cozy, reading books, eating chocolate, drinking hot chocolate, wearing new (or at least clean) pajamas most of the holiday evenings.
More details about the ways we do Holiday Book Flood (even in the midst of other family matters), a recipe for special hot chocolate and a free downloadable ebook are in these two links below. I read aloud on video a whimsical poem I wrote in this first link. 👇
Holiday Book Flood
Rather than Christmas my family celebrates Jolabokaflod, aka Christmas Book Flood, the Icelandic holiday tradition of giving and getting books on Dec 24th. Here's our family celebration details written out in my sketchbook. So happy early Jolabokaflod to all readers and to my favorite local independent bookstores!!! Here's a video of me reading a holiday…
Below is the link to the free ebook that my wife
and I created together - we both made lists of our favorite novels and I illustrated our lists using a dip pen and inks then turned that into a downloadable ebook. 👇I'm giving you an ebook
As I said in my last post - it’s Jolabokaflod and the time for giving and getting books! It’s time for hot chocolate and reading the new books while wearing cozy new or at least clean pajamas! 🤣 Time for cuddling in a comfy place and letting the world and its cares fall away…
There are more downloadable ebooks created by me (12 of them!) available on my ebook index page.
I wish you a cozy, peaceful and happy holiday season however you celebrate!
FYI: Due to a pressing family matter my attention is needed elsewhere so I'm taking the next two weeks off from my regular newsletters. I appreciate your patience and understanding. I will be back to my regular schedule as soon as possible. Thank you again for your ongoing support!
