I meant to mention back when you made that clever Thelma & Louise reference that my middle name is Louise. Not only that, but my wife's middle name is ALSO Louise. I use my middle name. She does not. But it made for quite a double-take at the registry office when we got our marriage license. The woman thought it was a typo! lol
Oh how delightful!! Bet the registry office did wonder - and I'll bet you both laughed when they did!! When my wife and I went to the registry office and they told us the amount to pay for our marriage license both I and my wife got out our wallets. The clerk said "only one of you needs to pay"... then they looked at the cash on the table and saw we'd each put down half. "Oh!" said the grinning clerk. "Yes, we're in this together" we said! The same conversation was repeated when we stood before the Judge too!! My wife @jlsullens and I both send you and your wife our best!! 💚💙
I'm delighted to hear you like Saint Early 🤣🤣 And I absolutely
love your notion that my tree paintings could be bonsai paintings!! Yes!! That's it exactly!! The soup really is yummy and is even better when reheated the second and third days - warms the tummy for an afternoon of painting in a cold studio. 💚💚💚
Sue, your two sketchbook plays are delightful! Having read your post I need to a) watch 'Thelma & Louise' again and b) make and eat soup - thank you for the recipe!
Giraffes are gorgeous, aren't they? As a very tall person I feel I'm part of their tribe! 🦒 I had wondered before ever seeing one that they must be extremely ungainly, but they were in fact the most graceful creatures I saw on that whole trip. 'Gainly' is not a word, but it certainly IS when appended to 'giraffe'.
Thank you!!!! I really hope you'll enjoy the soup (and the movie) whenever you have it!!!! And yes, giraffes really are gorgeous and they move in such fluid, precise, ways that they almost remind me of hummingbirds sometimes!! 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
I love soup. Such a flexible and delicious food. Yours looks very yummy. And that giraffe is adorable! A finished artwork in one meal. Love the others too. Such a beautiful addition to breakfast. Thanks so much for sharing. A real pleasure.

This is the most romantic thing I've read all day! 😍
Lol!!!!!! Thank you!!! So glad to share with you!!!! 💚💚💚💚
That's so cool, Erica! 🤣
I’m so glad I found your work here! You’re bring light and joy to the world with your gift ❤️
So kind of you to say!!! And thank you!!! 💚💚💚
How beautiful the sketches are! 🤩 Is the middle part watercolor? And the soup recipe sounds yummy (and heavy haha)
Thank you so much!!! The middle parts are actually gouache but I use the paints in a watercolor-y way. There I go again not following directions 😁
And yes, the soup is robust. All the better to fortify one for an afternoon's work on art commissions...
Not following directions is *the* direction 😁
Lol!!!! I agree!!! 🤣💚
I LOVE Saint Head in the Clouds!! Could the tree series be the bonsai of tree painting? That soup looks really good!!

Love the coffee ring art. Your tree practice made me think of this project that I just saw an artist talk about recently: http://www.lyhoangly.com/tree-huggerperformance-art-installation/
