What a great look inside your drawing world! One of my favorite things (and there are many) of your art is your color palette. Love everything about this post!
Oh thank you so very much!!! I appreciate your comment!! My color choices are often inspired by the natural world: for example I have a “butterfly” pallette of paint colors that correspond to the various colors of butterfly wings. It's fun to use “butterfly colors” to paint subjects that are not butterflies….
Would a post on the topic of color palettes be fun to write or read? You've got me thinking…🤔
Looking at your work makes me so happy. I see a wallpaper design in this book you've offered us a glimpse into! The birds scattered in the field...just lovely!
It delights me to hear that my work makes you happy!!! Thank you!! And yes, you've read my mind: I am planning to do both a fabric pattern and wallpaper design with my birds in a field over on my Spoonflower shop! Wish me luck… https://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/sueclancy
Welcome!! I'm glad you're here!! And I'm glad to hear that you like what you see - it's a regular kind of thing from me. 😁🤗💚 Thank you for your kindness!!
I hit the send button in excitement! I wanted to also tell you how much fun I had watching the video and observing your colors and compositions! Especially the tiny 🐭
Oh!! Your comment is so appreciated!!! I'm delighted you enjoy my work!!! Yes, indeed - lets start our days with art, love, kindness, gentleness and coffee!!! 💚💚💚☕
Oh that sketchbook! Such a treasure! I love the art and the paper and the watercolour effects and the whole feel of it! Always so much fun looking through sketchbooks, yet I usually end up doing my art on individual pieces of paper then storing them in little boxes. It’s just not the same. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I could spend ages working my way through that little book. Happy sigh.
Yippee!!! I'm so glad you liked the video!!! I'll keep working and hopefully before the end of the year you'll have the ability to get a copy of my sketchbook in either digital or printed form 🤞🤞
The last sketchbook I published printed well - true to the colors I used - so I'm hopeful this one will too
Are you familiar with a company called Spoonflower? Many of your drawings are as good as any of their many published artists. Perhaps a source for greater distribution and income than one-off from your subscribers?
