I love all of these sketches and paintings, Sue! However, I especially love the “imaginated" and will now fold that into my vocabulary! Your god-daughter imaginated a perfect word!
Awww thank you!! I haven't a precise definition of "imaginated" but it seems so applicable to discussion of creativity activities! We grownups need this word don't you think?
What a delightful newsletter! Your week sounds like a delicious blend of creativity and inspiration. Those blueberry pancakes with the rabbits sketching had me grinning!
I love how you take inspiration from the real world and then let your imagination take flight. The "Not My Cup of Tea" painting sounds intriguing - can't wait to see the full details on your blog. And the little mouse sketch? So charming!
What a delightful comment you made!! Thank you so very much!!! I'm glad to know that you grinned and enjoyed it!!! I hope you'll like my description of the inspiration for my painting too. Thanks again!! 💚💚
That tiny mouse reminds me of my time in London. I’d take my second cup of the day and sit on the front step, watching life go by. Several mornings the Army took their horsed up to Hampstead Heath for exercise. Every day there was a steady stream of parents walking their children to the local school.
It’s amazing how many memories one tiny illustrated mouse can bring back.
Wow!!! Your memories are wonderful!!! Thank you for sharing them - and the fact that my little mouse drawing brought them back!! I'm delighted!!! 💚💚💚💚💚
I’m glad you enjoyed them. Since I posted that I remembered the one encounter I had with a mouse. They’re called "tube rats", but they’re really just tiny mice who live in the London Underground. This encounter took place in a pub built in the 12th century where we were having a meeting. Because the day had been unusually warm I had on sandals. The mouse ran over my foot. I jumped, and squeaked, totally disrupting the meeting for the rest of the night.
Thank you!! My ankle is making steady progress! Sometimes I'm impatient and other times I remember that going slow has it's advantages too. I'm delighted that you like the mouse!!! 💚💚💚💚
My knee is slowly and steadily healing too ❤️🩹 I managed a lovely hobble around this evening. I don’t know about you but I have a couple of good days, then it’ll get worse again, then it’ll be good again. They say healing isn’t linear 📈🦵💚❤️🩹

Oh my goodness! A mouse running over a foot would indeed be a meeting ending event!!!! Thanks again!!
Sue, I'm so glad that you're continuing to make progress with your ankle. And I'm in love with that adorable little mouse! 🐭💚

So pretty!💛
Thank you!! 💚💚💚💚
Love the cactus in the teacup! And sourdough pancakes?? Definitely need that recipe
Lol!!!! Thank you for your kindness about my art!!! As for the pancake recipe we'd have to ask @jlsullens very very politely...🙏 😁🤗🥰💚
Wonderful composition, Ms Sue! Thanks again for exposing me to brilliant people, Paul.
So kind! Thank you!!
I must be having an off day.
Love the rabit doodling hearts! And sourdough pancakes sound awesome, will have to give them a try!
Thank you so much!!! Do you already do a sourdough starter?? Have fun with the pancakes!!! 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Yummmmy 😋 now I want pancakes 🥞
I hope you’re still finding improvements in your owchy foot!
Thank you!!! My ankle/foot is improving slowly but steadily - and I'm grateful! How is your knee doing? I hope it's improving...

Foot/ankle xx
Adorable mug! I’ve tried keeping cactus before, but I must have a black thumb. As easy as they should be, they haven’t survived!
Me too!! Potted plants of any sort come to my hands to die... I can just about manage to keep cut flowers in a vase alive for a few days.
My cats won’t even allow that!! I guess I’ll just have to view them outside (and that’s just as lovely!)
