Recently my friend
took a copy of my book Numpurrs to a cat shelter where readers are participating in Cat Tales - Kids Reading to Cats at the Caring for Cats shelter in North St. Paul, MN.These were the heart warming photos, that Kate shared with the shelters permission, that make my artist/author heart so happy!! I share them here with permission.
If you're curious about my book Numpurrs it's a poem I wrote and illustrated about cats and numbers – a playful summing up of what happens when everyone brings something pleasant to the table. Every contribution counts!
You can access, and preview, the printed book of Numpurrs here.
The free ebook version - including the audiobook - is available on Storyberries.com here.
And if you're a paid subscriber to this newsletter you can download Numpurrs here.
Both my wife
and I regularly read with, both silently and aloud to, our cat Hawkeye. Hawkeye enjoys short stories and novels by Kurt Vonnegut, mystery novels by Louise Penny as well as books about art and history. Our dachshund Rusty enjoys being read to also and isn't picky about subject matter but he does seem to like cookbooks, gardening and books about birds the best.
I hope your day is pleasantly full of friends, whether human or 4 footed, and good books to enjoy!
