I think I’m going to have to look up that book. Definitely time for me to rest a little too. Take care dear Sue. WE know you’ve been trying hard. Not too much longer hopefully. 🤗🤗😘
Your line 'why would a mermaid leave the sea?' is just so beautiful, Sue. 🧜♀️ And, Jameson - what a handsome cast! I agree - life's too short to iron tea towels... or sweat the small stuff.
Keep UP the foot, and keep UP the good work! You've got this. Rest, rest, rest, and look forward to being back on your feet when the time is right! 😁
HEEHAW! This cracked me up, especially since it's the second article I've read today about this subject. Dr. Dixie Lane of The Hollow wrote an article about "busyness," why we think busyness is the most productive way to live, and why, perhaps, we need to realize what we busily DO doesn't really define US. (As a Christian, she referred the story of Jesus admonishing Martha to stop cleaning the house and spend time attaining spiritual growth. I hope this aspect doesn't push you away from her work.) Anyway, after COVID kicked the slacks out of our ambitions, we all seem to be yearning to keep that home-focused life from now on.
Good self reminders. The new cast is, at least, an excellent green - and I see you have special green crocheted foot toppers (I'm guessing). Very nice. I hope you are following orders.... letting the tea towels go is really okay.
I love how you turned your malady into a melody.
Haikus for Healing
1.
Doctor's visit, cast
Newly named "Jameson" rests
Healing bones encased.
2.
The doctor's firm voice,
"Stay off the foot, give it rest,"
Echoes in my mind.
3.
Jameson, my shield,
Cradles fractures, mends the splits,
Quietly, we bond.
4.
Elevated high,
My foot dreams in its white cloud,
Pages turn, time flies.
5.
In stillness, we read,
Jameson and I find peace,
Healing in the words.
They know when you’re on it too much. I was so embarrassed when my beloved DPM busted me.

Patience little grasshopper.
Rest is good but frustrating!
So sorry to hear that your foot is still not good. Does it mean no housework and more time to sketch? That could be looking at it in a positive way.

Adorable pic and get well soon!
And OMG, I love the little White Donkey! He almost looks like a mystical equine.
Oh man sis, what did you do to yourself! Yes, listen to the doc and take care of you (((Hugs))).
Don't worry! I gave up ironing the tea towels (and the pillow cases) many, many years ago. Have a good rest! (Listen to your doctor!)
So many delights to bring a smile to my face!😻
I love the ass over teacup!
